UNKNOWN MOTORIST DRIVES ON While Mr. J. Joynt, who lives in Station Road, Papatoetoe, was alighting from a bus at the junction of Great South Road and Station Road, Papatoetoe, on Friday, he was knocked down by a passing motorist, who speeded up immediately after the accident, and was lost to sight before his number could be noted. Mr. Joynt was thrown from the centre of the concrete strip to the edge of the bitumen shoulders, and received bruises and abrasions to the legs, and was suffering from shock. After attention from Dr. J. J. Valentine, of Papatoetoe, the injured man was conveyed to his home.
