SUBURBAN THEATRES
At the Prince Edward Theatre this evening the pictures are to be “Adoration” (Billie Dove) and “Stolen Pleasures” (Helene Chadwick). The Capitol Theatre, Dominion Hoad, will show “The Spy” (all-star cast) and “Homesick” (Sammy Cohen). The Empire Theatre. Dominion Road, will screen “Red Wine” (Conrad Nagel) and “Rinty of the Desert” (Rin-Tin-Tin). At the Edendale Pictures the films are to be “Red Hot Speed” (Reginald Denny) and “Someone to Love” (Charles Rogers). . , The Grey Lyn n Cinema will show' “Home. James” (Laura La Plante) and “Avalanche” (Jack Holt). At the Parish Hall. Devonport. the pictures to he screened are “Take Me Home ' (Bebe Daniels) and “The Desert Bride” (Betty Compson). Edward Sedgwick, who has been one of the most successful directors at Metro-Gold wyn-Mayer, has signed a new long-term contract with that organisation. Sedgwick has just completed the direction of “Spite Marriage.” starring Buster Keaton. also directed the previous Keaton film, ••The Cameraman.”
