GOVERNMENT DEFEATED DISARMAMENT ISSUE (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) COPENHAGEN, Friday. While the great Powers are arguing about disarmament, Denmark has made it an election issue upon which the Socialists in combination with the Radical-Liberal Party, have secured 77 seats in the Assembly and all the other parties 68. The Prime Minister, Mr. T. Madsen-Mygdal, has accordingly tendered his resignation. It seems certain that King Christian will ask the Socialist Leader, Mr. T. Stauning, to form a new Cabinet. ■ The Socialists are expected to introduce a Bill to transform the army into a police force and the navy into a coastguard force. This the Senate is practically certain to reject. The Socialists will then use administrative means to reduce the expenditure ou armaments to a minimum.
