RIFLE SHOOTING
AKARANA DEFENCE CLUB Trophies presented by Mr. T. Elliott, the club, and ABC Drapery, were competed for on Saturday afternoon by members of the Akaruua Defence Rifle Club at Penrose rifle range, over the ranges of SOO yards and 900 yard?. Mr. D. Calder's possible at 800 yards was the outstanding score of the day. The three top men in each section take 3,2 and 1 points. Silver spoons were won by A. W. Powell, A. Walker and H. Snell.
