SKID IN LOOSE SHINGLE

MOTOR-CYCLIST BADLY HURT Press Association DANNEVIRKE, Saturday. A young man, George IT. Dick, was riding his motor-cycle near Mangatera on Saturday afternoon, on his way to Stratford, and when negotiating a hill bend the cycle skidded in some shingle. A collision occurred with a j service car belonging to Messrs. Mar- j tin and Vernon, of Wanganui, which was proceeding north. Dick suffered severe injuries, includ- i ing a compound fracture of the left j leg, a fracture of both the upper and | lower jaw, and a lacerated face. His j condition is critical.
