PROMOTIONS AND TRANSFERS The following promotions and transfers of officials of the Post and Telegraph Department in the Auckland district have been announced: Mr. A. R. Jones, postmaster at Manurewa, promoted to a similar position at the Shorthand Street Office. Mr. B. McFarlane, postmaster at Putaruru, transferred to Manurewa. Mr. G. R. O. Mulholland, postmaster at Takapau, transferred to Newmarket. Mr. TI. Skellern. postmaster at New Lynn, appointed supervisor at Cambridge. Mr. R. J. Patton, postmaster at Tuakau, transferred to Poke no, in place of Mr. W. H. Kemp, transferred to Mercer. Mr. M. C. Foster, superintendent at Cambridge, appointed postmaster at Tuakau. Mr. C. F. Stevens, postmaster at Mercer, transferred to Te Kauwhata. Mr. E. H. Taylor, appointed supervisor, postal branch, Rotorua. Messrs. R. A. Boyd and F. H. Johnston, appointed examiners, money order and savings bank branch, Auckland. Mr. E. S. Collard, appointed examiner, Palmerston North. Mr. D. G. Hendry, appointed examiner, accountants’ branch, Wellington. Mr. IT. A. Keven, appointed examiner at Thames.
