MANY CLUBS HOLD RACES Tlie Auckland Racing Pigeon Society’s race from Huntly on Saturday resulted in a win for Mr. W. Wright’s r c c Ah Were, with a velocity of 782 yards a minute; Mr E. Buchanan’s blk c Black Arrow (781.2yd5), second; Mr. J. Keogh’s r.c.c. Campfire (768yds), third. The North Shore Pigeon Club’s race from Taumarunui (airline distance 144 miles) was won by Mr. H. E. Crowhurst’s b c c Excel, with a velocity of 810yds a minute; Mr. R. Oliver’s w h Lady Jane (809yds) second; Mr. E. Andrew’s b n lr Glenhurst (807yds) third. The following are the results of a series of races held by the Avalon Club: From bluntly (airline distance 56 miles) : Mr H. Clay’s entry (1,066yd5) 1: Messrs. The race from Taumarunui was won by Messrs. Scott Bros.’ b c h Little Miss, with a velocity of I,lo6yds a minute; Messrs. Knight and Hanson’s b c c Night Patrol (1,101yds), second; Messrs. McGregor Bros.’ entry (1,070 yds), third. Prom Ohakune, Messrs. Scott Bros.’ m c Silver Blaze (944yds), first; Messrs. Knight and Hanson’s b c c The Trump (940yds) second. The Onehunga Racing Pigeon Club’s race from Hunterville (airline 215 miles) was won by Mr. J. Wallace's bik c p h Gay Cabellero, with a velocity of 930yds a minute; Messrs. D. R. M. Wallace and Son’s b c h Concentrate (929yds), second: Mr. W. Leng’s b c Tui B.ell (927yds) third.
