GOOD PROGRESS SHOWN OFFICERS FOR SEASON Press Association WANGANUI. To-day. Favourable comment upon the finances of the New Zealand Croquet Council was made at the annual meeting: here last night. The president. Mr. A. G. F. Lewis, occupied the chair. The report stated that a steady progress had been maintained, and that the number of associates on the roll was now well over 4.000. Unfortunately the proposed visit of a tea;% to Australia could not be arranged. The balance sheet showed a credit of £lO7 Ss 3d brought forward from last year. The receipts were £ll3 17s 6d for affiliation fees. £246 13s 3d for sundry items, and £1 12s lOd for bank interest, a total of £362 3s 7d. Ex-
penses amounted to £249 14s sd. lea ins credit balance of £ll2 9s 2d. It was decided to support a propos to send a team to Australia next ye; Details of finance are to be co sidered by the executive committee.
