THAT BEAUTIFUL MAYOR
BIRKENHEAD JEALOUS BIRKENHEAD is evidently a little jealous of the fact that Mr. A. E. Greenslade, Mayor of Northcote, should have annexed the prize in the men’s beauty competition at Birkenhead last Saturday. At the meeting of the Birkenhead School Committee last evening it was decided to write to the Northcote Borough Council complimenting it upon having such a beautiful Mayor. It was also decided to say that the committee regretted the prize went out of Birkenhead, but if the prize had been for women Northcote would not have had a chance.
