(By “THE ROC.”) Official advice has been received from Defence Headquarters at Wellington by the Auckland Aero Club stating that twd Moth planes for New Zealand were delivered in England last Wednesday. They should land here shortly before Christmas. Colonel Brinsmead. 0.8. E., M.C., the Director of Civil Aviation in the Commonwealth of Australia, will be passing through Auckland in a few weeks’ time, en route to the International Air Convention, to be held in America. Interesting news has been received bv the secretary of the A.A.C. to the effect that the Marlborough Aero Club is sending a representative to the convention. In an endeavour to assist the Auckland Aero Club to gather more funds towards another machine, the Auckland City Council has considered the matter, and it has been reVrred to the Finance Committee for a report. A.A.C. Badge Secretary IVIr. L. W. Swan announces that the Auckland Aero Club’s badge in gilt, with monogram in gilt and enamel, is now available at his office in the Lister Buildings. The badge may be merely hired to a financial member on payment of 3s 6d. the arrangement being that the badge is on loan only and must be returned on ceasing to be a member of the club. The payment of 3s 6d will then be returned. In order to secure a badge it will be necessary for members to apply personally in order to sign an agreement form. Country members, however, may have an agreement form sent them.
