POST-GRADUATE COURSES AUCKLAND: UNIVERSITY PROPOSAL A recomme&dal.ioff , that postgraduate courhes^shbfil'd be instituted at the Auckland* Uiflversity College has been made jb-y->aJ special committee set up to -ynydstigate tjfcie position. The committee reported to yestermeeting of the College Council that such courses would encourage graduates to continue the systematic study of subjects in which they were interested, stimulate research work and’ probably make possible the preparation and publication of material which would enhancp the reputation of the college. The committee approved the suggestion that honours or advanced students should fee/utilised to direct tutorial practicable. The registrar authorised to tal&s the nec f where any professor# carry out the proposals. -i&
