Students of form, particularly in Auckland, were well prepared for the victory of the Longburn-trained pacer, as he will not surely be penalised in the New Zealand Cup (in which it is unanimously admitted he was penalised 12yds in the first instance), there will be plenty of early backers prepared to support Billy Hughes’s charge for the big November event.
