CONTROL OF DOMAIN

ONE TREE HILL CLAIMANTS LITTLE PROSPECT OF WATER The Minister of Lands, the Hon. A. D. McLeod does not agree with the proposal of the One Tree Hill Road Board that it should be given sole control of the One Tree Hill Domain. He has reappointed the old board for a further term of seven years. As the board’s term of office is for seven years, this question may be considered as settled for that period. The One Tree Hill Road Board had hopes of»striking water in the Domaim but up to the present no success has been achieved. A shaft has been sunk to a considerable depth through solid rock, but apparently the work has been abandoned, as nothing has been done for some weeks past.
