NO FEAR FOR BRITONS
MR. MACDONALD’S FAITH SPEECH AT VANCOUVER (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (United Service > VANCOUVER, Saturday. The Leader, of the British Labour Party, Mr. Ramsay Macdonald, ad dressed the Canadian Club at Vancouver to-day. He said he had no fear for the British race, the Empire, or their kith and kin, provided they maintained the qualities of their fathers. The States of the world were not perfect, but the State to which they belonged was founded on justice. Britain believed in liberty. She was coming out of her troubles with flying colours. The Old Country was reviving. . Her youth in the next generation would be placed in possession of a splendid heritage. ■ Britain had shouldered a great debt, ard it would be paid to the last farthing. It mattered not whether she considered it fair to unfair, the country’s name had been placed to that document, and when that was done it became a pledge.
