HU IA SCHEME READY BY NOVEMBER Arrangements have been made bv the Auckland City Council to secure the report of an expert upon the water supply proposal—a report which the Mayor, Mr. G. Baildon. hope* ij facilitate the council’s decision in respect to the development of the low* r Xihotupu area and the Hunua sourtv According to the Mayor the council is not upset by the rejection by tht> Local Bills Committee of Parliament of the Water Supply Bill. It is indicated by the chairnian of the Water Committee, Mr. J. a. c Allum. that the Auckland water supphis in a better position than it was at thi*j time last year. It is expected that water from Huia will be available in November.
