WOMEN’S CLUB

MEETING AT TE PUKE At the first annual meeting of the Te Puke Ladies’ Club, Airs. T. P. Lemon presided over a large attendance, and read a report in which she congratulated the members on coming through their first year so successfully. The success of the club she stated .had been due largely to the secretaries, Airs. Bayly and Aliss Rogers and the committee. Airs. Lemon suggested that the club should affiliate with the Auckland Lyceum Club The election of officers resulted:—President, Airs. Lemon (re-elected); vicepresident. Airs. H. A. Vercoe (reelected): committee, Alesdames F. Bayly, A. A. Alacfarlane, T. H. Wilsone, J. Ball, T. Vercoe, D. N. Wilson, Aliss Rogers (all re-elected), *.nd Alesdames Simpson and Wilkie: joint secretaries, Aliss Rogers and Airs. Bayly.
