Ape to Human

Film Exploits Darwin’s Theory “THE CROWN OF CREATION”

Coming at a time when Darwin’s theory is being ‘strenuously attacked and equally strenuously defended by men and women all over the world, “Nature and Love” should find a wide market. It has been running for some time in Berlin, where its success is said to he phenomenal. It shows, in an abundance of magnificent scenes, the whole scale of creation as understood by the evolutionists, from the first primeval beings upward to mankind—"the crown of creation.” Another part, deals with the existing evidence of the relationship between the bodies of animals and those of men. The enormous adaptability of living beings and their organs is described and proven by those abnormalities often shown in booths at carnivals. The last part treats with the animal family-tree —ape and man. A ft..-- collection of photographs of all living species of man-apes throws some light on the dispute about human descent from apelike brings. There are pictures from the childhood of mankind. The man from the Neander Valley still looks very brutal, while mankind in the glacial periods in appearance is already very similar to our present-day representatives, and science has proved that these people wore their hair artificially made up, and also had already a preference for the “slender line.” At last the film gives an exhibition of the now existing different human races and throws some light on our present-day civilisation, finally gazing into the future for new goals to mankind to be achieved.
