HEAVY MILKING RECORD
The whole 14 records of over 2,000 gallons of milk in Victoria have been made by Friesians, which breetj also holds six of the ten records of oyer 7001 b of butetr-fat in 273 days, and the only cow with two records of over 7001 b of butter-fat in nine months is also of this breed. The above 14 records, averaging over eight gallons a cow daily, were made by nine cows, and their top yields show an average of over 6971 b of butter-fat a head for 273 days. In New Zealand 35 Friesian cows have given over 2,000 gallons of milk, with over 7001 b. of butter-fat each in 365 days, and tlieir top yields average 8401 b. of butter-fat a head. Sixty more Friesians there have given over the 2,000 gallons, and nine more have given over 7001 b. of butter-fat, but these have missed making the double record.
