GLEN EDEN THEFT _ QUANTITY OF FOOD STOLEN On Tuesday evening thieves broke into a store at Glen Eden owned by Janet Stables, and stole a large quantity of goods. The store was found in disorder on Wednesday morning, and a search of the premises revealed that tins of fish, fruit, and milk and a quantity of chocolate had been taken. The theft is thought to have been the work of young larrikins. WOMAN FRIGHTENS INTRUDERS Early yesterday morning some men were discovered trying to break into the motor service station and garage of Paine Brothers, Mangere. A woman who lives nearby was wakened by the noise and <fe,Hed to the men that she would telephone for the police. The intruders hurriedly left in a motor-car.
