Motor Patrolmen.—Two road patrolmen, who will be uniformed, were appointed by the Auckland Automobile Association last evening. There were 150 applicants. Traffic Signalling.—The cost of securing and exhibiting motion-pictures of motor traffic signalling and general safety-first precautions is being inquired into by the Auckland Automobile Association. Intoxicated Motorist. —Alfred Mark JVaughton, motor engineer, of Devonport, was fined £. 10 at the Polioe Court yesterday for being intoxicated in charge of a motor-car. He was also ordered to pay £ 4 compensation for damage done to a Hindu hawker’s cart. Hand Jammed in Concrete Mixer.— While working on concrete- paving operations at Queen Street. Northcote. yesterday morning, Mr. Bert Slade had his hand jammed in a concrete mixing machine. Three fingers were badly crushed and another was severed. He received medical attention at Northcote, and was also treated in the cr» mi - alty ward of the Auckland Hospital. Fall From Motor-Cycle. —An employee of the Southdown freezing works, Mr. Joseph Pascoe, of Richardson Road, Mount Roskill, received injuries to his head when he fell from his motor-cycle at the corner of Marsden Avenue and Dominion Road about seven o’clock last evening. He was treated at the Auckland Hospital and has returned to his hrone.
