VISITING CRICKETERS

VALUABLE EXPERIENCE FOR AUSTRALIANS By Cable.—Press Associatioti. — Copyright. Reed. 11.0 a.m. SYDNEY, To-day. The Australian cricket team to tour New Zealand will leave Sydney by the Marama for Wellington to-mor-row morning. The Sydney “Morning Herald” says that the Australians should give a good account of themselves. The experience should be beneficial to the younger members of the team, who, in a few years, will have to uphold the prestige of Australian cricket on the international field. Conditions in New Zealand can compare with those in England. It is hoped that a few rain-damaged wickets will be encountered. The benefits to be derived from such an experience would be Incalculable to Ponsford, Kippax, Richardson and others, who otherwise would be at a disadvantage if coming international matches are to be decided on wet wickets.—A. and N.Z. - J.. ’
