KNOCKED DOWN BY ENGINE
ELDERLY WOMAN’S DEATH That Florence Cojkson, a widow, aged 58, was accidentally killed when she was knocked dow n by an engire at the Gladstone Road railway crossing on September 17, was the verdict returned by the coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M., at an inquest to-day. Evidence wa.s given that the railway warning bells were ringing at ihe tune of the accident, but as Mrs. Cookson had an umbrella up, she apparently did not see the engine, and win; knocked down, dying later from injuries received.
