PENNIES FROM CHILDREN
Last week the Unemployment Association began the manufacture of art}* cial flowers for a bazaar and it has now decided to keep the industry going. Four girls and about seven men are engaged in it now and an attempt is being made to get some of the retail shops to dispose of tfeem. About fill has been recently distributed among men for the sale of picture tickets Sind some of these men have been making wages out of it. A concert party touring the suburban districts has been given concessions on jisll rentals both in Maburetta and in Te Papapa. The following donations to the schools penny fund have been received: Richmond West, £3 Os 2d, Grey Lynn £4 Glen Eden £l Us 2d, Mount Albert £”l3s 2d St. Heller s £1 Ss, headmaster, Hellers 10s 6d, Epsom £S 10s 9d, Newmarket £1 10s, Grafton £1 18s lOd. Avondale £2 14s 6d, Mangere £2 15b, Onehunga £1 18s, Belmont £4 11s, Papa toe toe £3, Te Papapa £4, Remuera, £ q 12s, Richmond Road £4 lis Oid, Bri.cton Road, £4 6s, and Pt. Chevalier £2 15s sd.
