FINALS OF THE DOUBLES ; S 3' if Cab Is. — Pre.it A.ssociatiG.l. — Cori/right NEW YORK. Monday. At Brookline W. T. Ti den and F. i Hunter won the National doubles tennis championship. They defeated William Johnston and Richard Williams, 10 —S, 6 —3, 6 —A crowd of 5,000 people witnessed the match, which was played in ideal weather. Williams and Johnston put up a brilliant fight at the start, but weakened under the terrific pace set by Tilden and Hunter. The latter pair began poorly, but improved as the match progressed. Miss Eileen Bennett. England, and Crochet, of France, defeated Mrs. George Wightman. America. and Lacoste, France, in the National mixed doubles championship, 2 — 6. 6 — o, 6 — 2. —A. and X.Z.-Sun.
