INFERNAL MACHINE THROUGH THE POST

Press Association. WELLINGTON. To-day. According to the “Dominion,” a business man on Monday received through the post an infernal machine containing enough gelignite to wreck a building. It was in a cigar box, but the mechanism fortunately was imperfect, and also appeared to have received damage in transit, so that no explosion occurred. The police are investigating, but can throw no light on the mystery at present.
