VERA VERONINA, COMEDIENNE “You’re a full-fledged slapstick comedienne now,” Raymond Griffith told Vera Veronina when she recovered composure after a fall out of a balloon basket during the filming of a picture. "Mack Senneit will hire you any time,” the high-hat comedian said. "That was a perfect fall. It looked as though you were killed, but you picked yourself up unhurt.” Miss Veronina, Russian actress, who was recently contracted to play in Paramount pictures, received a vigorous baptism in Hollywood comedy-making. Her role, the feminine lead in Raymond Griffith’s “Time To Love,” is her first ati tempt in comedy.
