EVERYBODY'S

TO-MORROW’S CHANGE Seena Owen makes an auspicious return to the screen after a prolonged absence, in the new Metropolitan picture production, “Shipwrecked,” which will be shown at Everybody’s Theatre to-morrow, in addition to Harold Lloyd in “The Kid Brother.” She is featured with Joseph Schildkraut, who won screen fame by his remarkable work in Cecil B. De Mille’s masterpiece, “The Road to Yesterday.’* Both artists acquit themselves with credit and to the complete satisfaction of their admirers in this thrilling romance of the sea and tropics. Miss Owen is seen in “Shipwrecked” as an artist’s model, who, to escape the odious attentions of designing men, dees to the west. Here again, her beauty gets her into trouble, and to save herself from a scoundrel she uses a revolver with excellent effect. She despairingly jumps off a dock in an effort to commit suicide, but is rescued by a drifter who falls in love with her. The two meet aboard a clipper ship on which the model hides as a stowaway, and their subsequent adventures are thrilling in the extreme. The ship is caught in a hurricane and nearly dismantled. The storm scenes have been excellently caught by the cameraman, and in this respect “Shipwrecked” as t. picture stands alone in its class. The work of the two featured players named, as well as that of the supporting cast, including Matthew Betz, Clarence Burton, Laska Winter, Lionel Belmore and Erwin Connelly, is quite praiseworthy. “Shipwrecked” is decidedly a worthwhile picture ard one that she may go far to seo and heartily enjoy.
