PROBATION FOR ERIC CHALMERS
RESTITUTION ORDERED Frank Amoore, otherwise Eric Chalmers, appeared for sentence at the Police Court to-day on four charges of obtaining money by false pretences. Amoore had collected the money as payment for advertisements in a booklet which he promised to publish, but had not done so. Mr. W. R. McKean, S.M., said he had some hesitation in the case because accused probably had taken money from other people as well as the complainants. Amoore was admitted to probation for two years and ordered to make restitution.
