WAIKATO HERDS
REACH HIGH STANDARD Waikato farmers occupy a prominent position in the latest returns for the highest producing herds tested by the New Zealand Co-operative Herd-testing Association, and their record is a good one. The most successful owners in the various sections were as follow: Herd of one to 20, Mr. J. W. Keith (Waerenga), 12 cows, 448.661 b butterfat average in 290 days; herd of 21 to 30 cows, Air. W. Stokes (Tamuhere), 29 cows, 419.201 b butter-fat in 271 days; herd 31 to 50 cows, Air. A. C. Andrews (Onewhero), 39 cows, 387.571 b butterfat in 283 days; herd 51 to 75 cows. Air. J. Watson (Tirau), 54 cows, 413.991 b butter-fat in 284 days; herd 76 to 100 cows, Air. G. Richmond (Otorohanga), 85 cows, 343.141 b butter-fat in 264 days; herd of over 100 cows, Air. R. Koch (Alanawaru), 101 cows, 367.931 b butterfat in 262 days.
