BANKRUPTCY ACT AMENDMENT
PROTEST FROM GISBORNE Press Association. GISBORNE, To-day. The Gisborne Chamber of Commerce discussed the proposed amendment of the Bankruptcy Act, providing for the suppression of reports of bankruptcy meetings at the discretion of the official assignee. Several members spoke strongly against the proposal. It was decided to secure a copy of the Bill for consideration at a special meeting with a view to voicing a protest.
