NUKUHOU DAIRY CO.
IN VOLUNTARY LIQUIDATION It is understood that the Nukuhou North Dairy Association has followed the example of the Waiotahi Association, and has gone into voluntary liquidation. Owing to the fact that suppliers are sending their cream to the larger factories small concerns have found it unpayable to continue running. Contracts have been let to cart the cream to the Opotiki dairy factory, a distance of 18 miles. The cartage is to be done at the rate of id. a pound of butter-fat. The suppliers hope that by sending their butter-fat to the larger concern, better returns will be forthcoming, thus enabling them to meet the rising cost of production.
