The action of the Boundary Commissioners in deleting from the Auckland East electorate about 30 houses in the Newmarket Borough, whereas all the rest of the borough is still left in Auckland East, was the subject of a question in the House of Repre sentatives by Mr. J. A. Lee, the member for the district, who asked whether the Minister in charge of the Electoral Department, the Hon. A. D. McLeod, believed that this was in accord with community of interest.
“The decision of the commission in regard to this matter is contained in its report to the Governor-General, ’’ said the Minister to-day. “When the report is tabled in the House the information will be available for hon. members.”
