PRISON ESCAPEE’S LIST OF THEFTS

SCOTT CHARGED AGAIN DURING his two years’ illegal liberty from Mount Eden Gaol, Archibald Andrew Charles Scott, aged 30, committed a long series of crimes in Auckland province. For some of these he has already been sentenced to four years’ imprisonment. This morning at the Police Court he pleaded guilty to six charges of stealing property valued at £44 3s 4d. during the past year. The thefts were committed at Pukekohe, Onewhdro, Wairenga, Whatawhata, Matakura, and Waipuna. On a seventh charge of damaging a bag of sugar he was convicted and discharged. On the other charges he was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
