LARGE INCREASE IN MAILS

The Middle East air route of the imperial Airways from Cairo to Basra has in the first five months of its
working operated with 190 per cent, efficiency.
Every scheduled flight has bfeen carried out without interruption, and there has been a steady growth in mail matter carried. The number of letters carried in Januanry was 21,400, and in May, 78,100.—A. and N.Z.
