I Wellington, November 8. The Thames Borough'Amendment Bill was introduced in the House of Representatives to-night by the Hon. J. A. Explaining the measure he said the chief provision was the extension of the term of the commissioner for three years. The Bill was read a first time. The Native Purposes Bill was also introduced, read a 'firsl time and referred to] the Native Affairs Committee. (t was agreed that the House should sit, till midnight to-morrow, when it will consider the Agriculture (Emergency Powers) Bill.
