The reappointment of Sir Robert Gibson as chairman of the Commonwealth Bank, has revived the agitation of the Federal Labour members for a reconstruction of Cabinet. Members allege that Cabinet violated the assurance given to the Federal caucus by Mr Scullin that when’ Sir R. Gibson’s term expired his appointment would not be renewed.
