TARANAKI FARMERS’ MEAT COMPANY
PREFERENCE, SHAREHOLDERS. DECISIONS AT MEETING. The affairs of the Taranaki Farmers Meat Company were disouised at a meeting of preference (shareholders held at i\ew Plymouth yesterday. The meeting, which was called by Mr J. 0. Taylor, who presided, unanimously passed the following resolutions ;—•
(a) That this meeting offers its assistance to the 113 preference shareholders (parties to the action against tiie company in the Supreme Court) for the purpose of investigating the affairs of the company, and agrees to subsidise £1 per head towards that object. (b) That application be made to the Supreme Court for the appointment of an officer to supervise the wil ding up of Jie company.
(c) That a committee of three be appointed to confer with the investigation committee of the lil3 objecting shareholders in the investigation of tUe affairs.
The committee appointed comprised Messrs P. E. Burrows, S. B. Hunter and J. 0. Tayloi.
