(Received 12.30 p.m.) London, September 17. \l> Moyd-George lias written to the Amalgamated Association of Operative Cotton Spinners emphasising the 'seriousness of any strike, which would increase the task of the brave men fighting the enemy. He asks the cotton spinners to return to work and leave the decision of the matters in dispute to the Government after an inquiry by a tribunal which the Government would at once appoint.
