AUCKLAND EXHIBITION.

“AULO LANG SYNE.” |Pjcr Press Association.} Auckland, April 19. Tjip Auckland Exhibition ■ closed on Saturday, alter running for twenty weeks. At the closing hour, Mr Elliott, president of the executive, addressed the crowd. Tlur Exhibition, he said, had been a success in nearly every detail. The Premier, who was present, was received with enthusiasm. Mr Massey referred to the progress of Auckland since the last Exhibition. He pil'd a great tribute to the work of Mr Elliott, and said the Exhibition was about to be closed, to the regret of tens of thousands of people, who would long remember it. After rounds of cheering, the massed bands struck up “Auld Lang Syne,” in which the crowd joined. Over twenty-eight thousand people attended, bringing the grand total for twenty weeks to 870,000. This works out at a daily average attendance of 6700.
