CHRISTMASTIDE.

This is the joyous season when Santa Claus pays us his annual visit to cheer the hearts of old and young. The spirit,of giving is abroad, the purse strings arc untied and a general desire to let others share in the good things of life animates the people. This is as it should be. But however admirable this sentiment may be the wherewithal! to give effect to it is always reduced to a question of £ s d.
