COLLECTION OF TROPHIES.
There is at present on view in the window of the Goldsmiths’ and Silversmiths’ Co., Broadway, a Tine collection of trophies presented to the A. and T*. Association. Three have been presented by Mr. F‘. Gooch to be awarded to the best animals sired by his horse Young 'Victor. A handsome silver-mounted oak smoker’s cabinet is set aside for the'best animal sired by Young Victor, an oak salad bowl goes to the best, animal of three years or under, and a silvermounted oak biscuit barrel to the best yearling. The aggregate value of Mr. Gooch’s trophies is fourteen guineas. There is also on exhibition a massive cup valued at eight guineas, presented by Messrs. C. and E. Jackson as a prize in the butter-fat competition. The display is completed by a handsome hot-water kettle, valued at £5, which has boon presented by the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths’ Co. for the best dairy cow. in the show (any breed). The whole of the trophies mentioned have been suppli .cl by the Goldsmiths and Silversmiths’ Co., and they arc all of handsome design.
