(Per Press Association.) 9 Wellington, August o. '•"Ah' important judgment was delivered by the Chief justice to-day. The Miramar Borough Council decided to ivduce the widta of King’s Road from 99 to 6Q foot, but one McLeod lodged

a caveat, which the Council desired to bo removed. The judge held that the Council had' no right to diminish the width of the road by special order, unless the electors agreed, and unless a Magistrate approved.
