Tno weather was a decided improvement on that of the previous day,! although still cold and threatening. The sum of £9585 was' put through the totalisatcr, against £0056 for the second day of last year, making £19,064. for the second day of the meeting, or £6998 more than ioi 1910. Also started: Sardonyx. Rosegrove lost his rider and Lingerer came down, but both horses were remounted. At. the finish Hoana was a length ahead, the same distance between- second and third. Time, 6:nin 19 l-sscc. Ladies’ Bracelet, one mile.—Scots Fusilier (Mr. A. Hyde) l,"Fusilca 2," Goldfinch 3. At a meeting - of the committee of tho Marton Jockey Chib to-day a subcommittee was appointed to confer with tho Rangifcikei Racing Club with a view of relieving them of any possible loss after tho realisation of assets.
