TERM OF OFFICE- EXTENDED. (Per Press Association.) . i- ■ Dunedin, June 27. Sir James Carroll, Acting-Premier, who arrived from the north to-day, informed a reporter to-night that Sir W. Hall-Jones’s term of office as High Commissioner had boon extended till August, 31. He also intimated that the Government had received the resignation of Mr. T. S. Weston, one of the unofficial members of the Representation Commission for the South island.
