The Republicans are in open revolt oier tlie Reciprocity Bill, and assort that if it passes they will join the Democrats in their attempt to low r the duties on all manufactured pioducts. Mr. Root’s amendment not being forthcoming, Senators criticised the lack of explanation for the amcnciment’s existence. Mr. Root announced that he wouid propose it on Wednesday.
