OFFENSIVE LAUNCHED BY CHINESE
Japanese Lines Broken At Several Points CHUNGKING, May 9. It is announced that the Chinese in the Hunan Province launched a general counter-offensive yesterday and broke through the Japanese lines at several points. The Chinese right wing reached positions south of the main highway leading to Chikhiang.
