GROUP-CAPTAIN MALAN RETURNS HOME

(Rec. 9.30 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 27. Group Captain A. G. (Sailor) Malan, R.A.F. fighter ace, is beihg recalled home to South Africa to train future pilots, says The Daily Express. Group Captain Malan, who has been fighting since September 1939, shot down 32 German planes in the Battle of Britain, and another 25 which he had no time to verify.

A national hero in South Africa, Group Captain Malan is a nephew of the rabidly anti-British Opposition leader, the late Dy D. F. Malan.
