Fair and Milder (Special) WELLINGTON, Nov. 28. Following is the special forecast for Southland issued by the Meteorological Office this evening for the period ending 5 p.m. tomdrrow: — Pressure is low over the Chatham Islands. An anti-cyclone over the northern Tasman Sea extends on to the Dominion. Fresh westerly winds, tending north-westerly. Weather becoming fair and milder. There were occasional brief sunny periods during the day, but the weather in Invercargill yesterday was mainly cold and cloudy. A strong southwesterly wind prevailed. The weather at 1 o’clock this morning was cold and overcast, with a moderate south-westerly wind. The barometer reading was 30.10 in (rising). The Tides.—High water, Invercargill, 1.50 a.m., 2.12 p.m.; Bluff, 1.09 a.m., 1.31 p.m.; Riverton, 0.09 a.m., 12.31 p.m.; Oreti Beach, 0.18 a.m., 12.40 p.m. The Sun.—Rises, 4.52 a.m., sets, 8.19 p.m.
