COUNTY COUNCIL ELECTIONS

All Members Standing

All the sitting members of the Southland County Council will offer themselves for re-election in the local body elections on May 27. The members are Messrs F. F. Trapski (Mataura), T. Golden (Toe Toes), W. M. .Norman (Winton), j. McNeill (Wallacetown), L. A. Niederer (Waihopai), A. R. Dawson (Awarua), E. W. Stevens (Oreti), G. W. Whittingham (Hokonui) and J. Dennis (Waikaia). The county clerk, Mr H. C. Gimblett, will call for nominations next week.

The Southland County Council representatives on the Southland-Hospital Board and the Bluff Harbour, Boardhave also indicated that they will seek re-election. The representatives on the Hospital Board are Messrs McNeill, Norman, Whittingham, Trapski, Golden and W. Clark. The representatives on toe Harbour Board are Messrs Norman and Niederer.
