There was a firm demand at the monthly stock sale held at Mataura yesterday. In the sheep section ewes and lambs brought 15/4, ewe hoggets made up to 36/7 and wether hoggets realized from 25/- to 25/3. Fat wethers made from 36/- to 39/-. In the cattle section empty cows brought from £4/15/- to £5/5/- and fat cows made from £8 to £l2. Heifers realized from £lO/5/to £ll/10/-. WAIKAKA STOCK SALE,— There was a very small yarding forward at the monthly stock sale held at Waikaka. A line of 24 ewes and lambs was sold at 18/-, three ewes brought 25/- and one ewe sold at 20/-.
